Gee-Gees women’s cross country start their season with 7th place

OTTAWA, Ontario – University of Ottawa women’s cross-country team finished in the seventh place at the McGill Open Invitational last Saturday, in Montreal, Quebec.


Kylee Fowler, Tiarra Ward, Skye Pellerin, Audrey McCarthy, Kylie Crawford, Elana Tyman represented the university at the tournament. The athletes ran the 4K event and had a combination of 200 points for the Gee-Gees.


Fowler had the team’s best performance. She ran four kilometers in 15:34, with 3:54 minutes as her average per kilometer, and finished the competition as 50th in the overall place.


The Gee-Gees will participate in their next tournament on Oct. 2 at the Capital XC Challenge, in Ottawa.
